We would like to welcome you to this space as we all come as learners privileging oral traditions of the past, present, and looking to the future. We come to listen, learn, and reflect on how we can give back in meaningful ways.
Thompson Rivers University campuses are on the unceded and occupied lands of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (Kamloops campus) and the T’exelc (Williams Lake campus) within Secwépemc’ulucw, the unceded and occupied territory of the Secwépemc. TRU also provides academic programs on the unceded and occupied territories of the St’át’imc, Nlaka’pamux, Nuxalk, Tŝilhqot’in, Dakelh, and Syilx peoples.
As we share knowledge, teaching, learning, and research within this Academy, we recognize that this territory has always been a place of teaching, learning, and research since time immemorial.
